Welcome to the 2010 season of Cliviger Riding Club.
Our new website address is clivigerridingclub.co.uk and this is now up and running with all the latest news.
We hope that this year we are offering a varied programme to hopefully suit everybody's needs.
The year begins with a P (UK) Summer Championship qualifier to be held at Croft Top Equestrian Centre on Monday 5th April.
This will then be followed by our dressage competition and cross country practice day on Sunday 11th of April at Crow Wood Equestrian Centre.
This year we are running four points shows, the dates are;
Sunday 9th May / Equifest
Sunday 13th June / PUK Summer
Sunday 11th July / Equifest
Sunday 12th September / Trophy show / PUK Winter
This year we are again hoping to send a team to represent us at PUK, if you are interested please could you contact Norah Starkie / Alison Philipson.
On our 2010 sechdule we have introduced a new class - Competition Horse / Pony. The 6 movements are
* trot serpentine
* canter serpentine
* extended trot on diagonal
* extended canter on diagonal
* walk on a long rein
* halt
Show to last no longer than two minutes.
We are also running two working hunter classes to be judged only on style with only one round.
Please note youngstock has been split into two classes, the 10's and under will now be 11's and under and we have also introduced handy pony.
We have also moved lead rein and first ridden to ring five, where we will also be having handy pony later on in the day.
Please ensure that all rules and regulations are adhered to on show days to keep our high level of Standards.
You also may note our membership fees have been reduced for anyone joining prior to the 1st of March.
This year there will be several fun nights / days, i.e. jump painting day / Barbi, fun night / disco, possible tack auction. Dates will be notified on show dates on our notice board on the caravan and on our website.
