P(UK) SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
to be held at the Newark & Notts Showground, Newark, Notts, NG24 2NY
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed horses/ponies in each Ponies Association (UK) Summer National Championship Qualifying class will qualify. Qualification will pass no lower than 3rd place
- Qualification is open to Members & Non-Members of Ponies Association (UK)
- Once qualified if the owner is not a current “A” member, the rider/handler is not a current “A” or Junior/Senior ridersclub member and/or the horse/pony is not currently registered with Ponies Association (UK), then they have 14 days to submit their memberships/registrations in order for the qualification to remain valid.
- Qualifications will be verified by the show secretary when the results are sent into the Ponies Association (UK) office
- Once owner, rider/handler, horse/pony are registered entries must be made on the official Ponies Association (UK) Summer National Championship Entry Form. Once published these can be obtained from the Ponies Association (UK) website or by sending an A5 SAE with large letter stamp to the Ponies Association (UK) office. All entries must be sent into the Ponies Association (UK) office before the closing date for entries
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed horses/ponies in each Ponies Association (UK) Pollyanna Amateur Riders/Home Produced Championship Qualifying class will qualify. Qualification will pass no lower than 3rd place

These classes are open to horses and ponies that have been stabled at home since 1st August 2009. DIY Livery is acceptable providing it is not the establishment of a professional Show Producer / Trainer. Horses or Ponies entering these championships must be owned, registered, produced, ridden or led by the owner/spouse or his/her son/daughter/grandchild. It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this competition. The Directors reserve the right in, their absolute discretion, to refuse an exhibitor’s entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the Directors considered opinion.

Once qualified if the rider/handler is not a current “A”/Junior/ Senior Riders Club Member they then they have 14 days to submit their memberships in order for the qualification to remain valid.

Stallions exceeding 138cms or Large Breed Mountain & Moorland stallions – i.e. Connemara, Dales, Fells, Highlands, New Forest, Welsh Section C & Welsh Section D – may not be ridden by any Juniors who have NOT attained their 14th birthday before 1st January at any show affiliated to Ponies Association (UK)
ONLY Mares and Geldings are eligible for Young Handler, Junior Ridden M & M, Lead Rein & First Ridden classes.
